Not actually named after the Exodus album - as notably by the slight change in spelling - the sound this German four piece socks us in the cakehole with is all the same scarily alike that of the San Fran thrash legends.

 

'Death Is Loud' comes across more 'Bonded By Blood' but a bruising start to this 45-minute blast of old fashioned metal. Looking aside to the corny titles - 'Thrash Bang Wallop', 'Midnight Fistfight' anyone? - this energetic European mob might borrow more than create but they do what they do purely through heart. Twin guitars, solidly mastered by Matthias and Jan, also their lead vocalist, command all ten cuts but as thirty years ago allow the drums in on the spot as well.

 

Weighty, relentless stick-work from Luke carries a creamy Lombardo texture to it and makes most of the tracks not want to end. Topped by a capable cackling rant from Jan that only heightens the sweetness of the taste and Fabulous Desaster, you will find, have it very much made.

 

Definite recommendation on any old school metal nut's shelf.
